Leawood Office Business Center Celebrates Grand Opening With Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Leawood, KS (November 20, 2003) – The Leawood Office Business Center (LOBC) celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, November 20, 2003. Celebrating with the LOBC staff were community leaders, local media, family and friends.

The ceremony took place at the 15,500-square foot facility located at 135th and Roe in Leawood's Plaza Pointe Nine business park. Those in attendance included Leawood Chamber of Commerce President Kevin Jeffries and Leawood Mayor Peggy J. Dunn, who assisted with the honors.

Mayor Peggy Dunn helps Kevin and Melissa Downey celebrate the Grand Opening of the Leawood Office Business Center.

"I would say this is one of the most exciting times in Leawood's history to be involved, especially as the city's mayor," Dunn said at the ceremony. "We are growing quickly and we probably have another 10 years before full build-out occurs. Leawood has a very dynamic, interesting, successful and diverse populace. There's a lot of activity in the business world both in home and office and I think that a center such as the Leawood Office Business Center is going to be very successful here."

An Open House immediately after the ribbon cutting ceremony gave the community a chance to tour the new shared-office facility and learn more about the many first-class amenities and service support systems the center offers. It also provided an opportunity to meet and speak with the knowledgeable LOBC staff who helps keep the facility running smoothly for business clients.

The introduction and growth of this generation's new mobile office workforce has changed the way businesses operate on a functional basis. With these changes come different demands and requirements that must be accommodated. The LOBC meets these new demands by offering a wide range of office programs from SuperSuites, Executive Offices and Virtual Offices to a readily available Call Center and numerous A la Carte service options to choose from. This allows each tenant to specifically tailor their office needs to fit their everyday business demands.

According to Norman F. Fox, industry consultant, the LOBC recognizes and provides unequaled office solutions for the demands of this growing mobile office workforce in Leawood and the surrounding area.

"The LOBC allows mobile individuals a chance to have a base for their business," says Fox. "We provide them a mailing address, a place to have their phones answered professionally, a place to meet with clients, and a staff who will support their needs and provide services that they might not get if they were in a conventional office."

And Fox would know a little something about this. He has been providing national consulting services to the office business center industry since 1988.

"There's nothing in the Kansas City area that compares to the LOBC. Actually, there are just a few around the country that come close. This is a real state-of-the-art operation, and we're exceptionally proud to be able to bring it to Leawood," says Fox.

The Leawood Office Business  Center is a locally and privately owned and operated alternative to conventional office space. Tenants have access to the shared-office facility 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For more information, visit www.leawoodoffice.com.
